When Doing Good Causes, You Stress
Have you ever felt that you were doing so much good that you were never accomplishing things? Do you feel that you have many good intentions, but you never meet them?
Life is full of good intentions but if you make intentions, you should do them. If you have limited resources or if you find that you run out of time, you will see that you have things that clutter your life and your inner being. You make intentions that are good, and you intend to do them, but you never seem to have time.
You leave these things as a reminder and you believe that you will do the best to make them happen, but things get so busy that you never get a chance to get things done. You promise things to people, but you are not able to accomplish these things.
When you hang on to these things and you don’t do them, you begin to feel guilty because you didn’t do what you said you would do. Good intentions will only cause you pain if you make too many of them.
Let Them Go
Just like everything else in life, you have to stop giving yourself too much work to do. When you have many intentions and then life comes along, chances are that you don’t get things done. This can happen because you have to work or because you have a family to raise.
You will realize that you are dedicating too much of your time promising to do things, but you are never getting them done. This can cause you to feel guilty and cause you to invest time and money into things that will never help you.
Then when life gets even harder, you have to start letting things go because you are not able to even bear the idea of having to do one more thing.
You have to learn to let things go. You have to let go of the ideas of doing things and learn to do what you can do. You need to enjoy the things that you want to do in your life, and you should no longer feel stressed.
When you lose your joy then this is a sign that you need to set some things aside and not put more on your plate. When you want to be creative, but you only find stress, you have to reduce what you are doing and find joy in what you have time to do.
Learn to let go of some of the stressful things that you say that you will do and learn to figure out what you can do to make your life better. Do you have things that you want to do? If you say you are going to do them, follow through with it.
Maybe you are meant to do something, and you just missed the deadline. Figure out how to fix this and how to make things right. Move forward and know that things sometimes happen.
Letting Go of Good Intentions:
- Do not commit to something unless you are sure you can do it.
- Do not overextend yourself. Do things the best you can but if you cannot fit something else in, don’t agree to do it.
- If you make a small intention, you need to follow through with it.
- Evaluate how your intention made you feel.
- Don’t make empty promises.
- Accept changes and make the important things a priority.
- Do not let your money spending cause you to not be able to accomplish what you want.
- Make sure that you keep your values.
Learn to let life flow and let your life change. As things come, let the joy fill you. Find a way to be simple and to let go of things that do not make your life better. This is way better than feeling guilty and living in a life where you are wanting to give up.
Live with your day-to-day things and be happy with what you are doing and what you have.
